What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a holistic approach to health care that focuses on addressing the root causes of illness rather than just managing symptoms. It views your health as an interconnected system, uncovering imbalances and triggers that may be contributing to your condition. By considering your unique health history, environment, genetics, and lifestyle, we create a personalized plan designed to meet your specific needs.
Is this covered by health insurance?
No, consultations are self-pay, or they may be partially covered by supplementary insurance. However, it is the clients’ responsibility to inquire with their supplementary health insurance to see if any portion of the services are covered. Homeopathy is usually covered by supplementary health insurance, but again, clients should inquire with their insurance provider to determine coverage.
What should I do before my initial consultation?
Please complete any consent forms and questionnaires sent to you via email after booking a consultation. This information helps Dr. Haucke better understand your health journey and current challenges. Rest assured, all information is kept strictly confidential.
What conditions or body systems are targeted?
At Dr. Haucke, we always address gut health and hormone health. Other conditions and symptoms that often improve as a result are autoimmune conditions, brain health, chronic issues (fatigue, inflammation, pain), detoxification, movement, and nutrition.
Are consultations offered in-person or online?
Consultations may be conducted in-person for those in the Zurich area, or online after an initial in-person visit. All online consultations will be conducted via secure telehealth video chat or via phone call — whichever the client prefers.
Do I need a Family Doctor (GP)?
Yes. Dr. Haucke is not a family doctor (GP) and does not provide primary care services. All patients must maintain a relationship with a family doctor or basic telehealth provider to address acute or general medical concerns.
Can you see anyone in any country?
Yes, as long as you can meet the requirement of an initial in-person visit, I can see anyone in any country.
What is the cancellation policy?
Consultations must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. If the appointment is not canceled or rescheduled within this time frame, 75 CHF for 50 min. consultations, and 125 CHF for consultations from 50 min+ will be forfeited. This policy ensures the highest level of service for all clients, as last-minute openings cannot be filled. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

How long does it take to see results?
Achieving optimal health is a journey, and results can vary for each individual. It likely took years to reach your current state, so restoring wellness requires time, effort, and focus. At Dr. Haucke, we’re committed to building a lasting partnership tailored to your unique needs and goals. While some individuals may notice significant improvements quickly, others may require more time to see results. We recommend committing to at least 3–6 months for the best outcomes, but please note that results cannot be guaranteed. Rest assured, I’ll be here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Do you accept payment plans?
No, but if you need a payment plan please ask and we can accommodate. The packages offer additional services such as email support, priority booking, etc. and provide additional savings to those looking for the best possible value.
